The DVD-ROM drives that rip are all manufactured by LG Electronics or H-L Data Storage, but are sold under various brand names (see the list below).
Only DVD-ROM drives have been reported to work for ripping. GameCube and Wii games may be ripped using a DVD-ROM and either Rawdump 2.0 (see this thread), or FriiDump.
